I don't think that these shoes are particularly sexy, especially in the white color that I have to wear for nursing school. HOWEVER, these shoes are soooooo comfortable! So many of my classmates have complained of their feet hurting or being tired after a 12 hour clinical....well not me! My feet and legs always feel great after a shift! If you prefer comfort over style, this is it!Well I'm about to start nursing school this summer and needed some all white shoes, I looked online through a ton of websites, and a ton of shoes and found these to be among the most raved about. I decided to take a chance and buy them, despite the fact that I'd also already bought all white leather converse which fit the bill in terms of compliance with what I needed. This being said, the converse aren't the most supportive shoes in the world (although I'm used to them and do find them for the most part comfortable) so I went for these specifically because of the reviews claiming that these shoes gave a "Walking on clouds" feeling. The shoes arrived pretty quickly, and when I got them I was so excited to stick my foot into some fluffy clouds and sadly, I got the opposite. When I put these shoes on I felt like I'd stuck my foot onto a brick. The soles are literally so hard, and I was so surprised as someone coming from converse, which have absolutely zero support in the soles, that these felt to have -20 support from how hard they were. Honestly, I don't know how anyone can say they feel like clouds. Maybe for certain feet and different arches they work, but for methey just didn't have that effect so I was really sad and disappointed. I also noticed that when I put them on with some thin socks that I own that the sides of the shoe were bothering me, so I put on some thicker socks and that seemed to solve the problem a bit but then the back was bugging my heels with those socks because they didn't go up high enough. So I'd say that the type of socks you choose for these shoes can definitely make a difference in comfort as well. I also found that these shoes ran a tiny bit loose, but nothing major that couldn't be fixed with the thicker socks I put on during the second try-on. If you're foot perspires a lot, expect these to enhance that effect because of the leather and the build. It might be a good thing for cold hospitals though, so I guess that aspect can be a pro and a con all at once. Then final negative note, was the fact that for some reason the inside of my shoes were stained by the cardboard that's put in them to shape them while no one is wearing them. It was nothing major, but also something I thought I should mention because they are so expensive that I'd expect them to be in pristine condition. Moving on to the positive notes, for those of you who take the plunge, these shoes are a very true white, and have a very nice leather. The material definitely feels like good quality, and I think they're perfect for nursing because, of course, if any type of liquid falls on these it'll probably be really easy to wipe of because of the smooth leather material. Overall, for me there were just too many negatives, especially within regards to the really hard sole, and so I will be returning these for my money and stick to the converse for now :)This is how well I love these shoes (pic). Ive had a pair since I was a PCT. They've gotten me through 5 yrs of PCT job and then LPN school, 4 yrs LPN job, RN school and now 4yrs of RN job. They have literally been my life support. I tried those other ankle breaker brands. They say you have to get use to, and Ive tried tennis shoes that all kill my feet and legs. These hold up to the anti fatigue guarantee!! They hold up to my 12hr job. I cried when they stopped making them the 1st time but Im so thankful to have them brought back. The fit it prefect. Your toes are able to move with how great the design of the toe box is. The support in those inserts is phenomenal. I love how they do fit like a clog as well. They feel heavy when holding in your hand and you think for a second are they really that comfy...YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES!! Put one on with any type of sock and youll see you wont regret it!Bottom line: the leather is too rigid and doesn't breathe. I was not able to break these in (stretch the leather by wearing the shoes). If you buy these shoes I suggest that you order wider than usual. I purchased a pair of white Timberland Pro Women's Renova slip ons in 9.5 M in March of 2020. I already owned - and was very happy with - a black pair of the same make and model that I bought back in 2014. The black ones were great! Good-looking and extremely comfortable from the beginning. Worn with jeans or long pants, they look like boots. Perfect for airport travel: Non-slip & comfy while walking a distance and easy on and off at security. So I expected the same satisfaction from the white ones. When I tried them on, they felt a little snug. But they were the same size so I figured they would break in. My husband liked them way better than the athletic shoes I usually wear, so I wore them a lot. When they didn't loosen up, I quit wearing socks in order to give my feet more room. This resulted in sweaty feet - forcing me to change into other shoes after a couple of hours. After weeks of wearing these shoes, I discovered very painful areas near the tips of my big toes. Upon closer inspection, I found that both of my big toenails had started to curve inward on both sides. One toenail was severely ingrown, requiring me to go to a podiatrist for the first time in my life. I had to have part of my toenail surgically removed - definitely not a pleasant experience! Since the surgery, I have worn flip-flops only. Come winter, when I have to go back to wearing regular shoes, we may find that more surgery is required. Do not wear these shoes without socks. More importantly, if they do not fit perfectly when you first receive them - send them back!I ended up returning these because it was so tight across the top of my foot. After an hour of wearing my foot would feel a little numb. With there being no breathing holes, your foot can feel very hot. I'm sure if I sized up, it would have been better, but I ended up going a different way with shoes for nursing school. I know people that love this brand... it just wasn't for me.I normally wear an 8.5-9 W shoe (some M fit depending on style.) I have a wide toe box and narrow back of the ankle. High arch and require the stretchy elastic if the shoe goes up high on the foot.I couldn't even fit the 9W on my foot with thin socks sitting down much less wear them all day walking. The shoe was not only too short lengthwise, but also too narrow. I returned them and went with Nurse Mates Align wide shoe. Son zapatos para aguantar muchas horas durante mucho tiempo.I work in emergency dept so I'm always on my feet. Super comfy shoes! No more achy feet after a shift. Easy to clean with a wipe. I like that there is alot of room for my toes.Cons: super hard first time putting them on. They did stretch out but it hurt to shove my feet in initially. I wrote them around my house for a day or 2 to stretch them out. Now that they are stretched out, they're comfy! My feet do sweat quite a bit in these shoes. More so than runners. But I still love the shoes!I bought a pair of the white clogs for work (I work in health care) as at the end of my shifts, I always have sore feet, shins and knees. They came quickly in the mail, so I couldn't complain about that either. The first shift I wore them was a 12hr night shift and my feet did not start to become a little sore until the last hour of my shift. I will be honest that they do need to be broken in, which caused slight discomfort the first time wearing them. I did get a blister in the back of both of my feet as you would wearing high heels or something like that for an extended period of time. I wore them again yesterday for a 12hr day shift and 22,000 steps later and my feet, shins and knees did not hurt one bit!! Like at all! In love with this product and have already recommended it to numerous coworkers. Also very easy to wipe down with a disinfectant wipe if needed and doesn't appear to get scuff marks on them at all. Definitely worth the money you pay for them!Buen producto sin embargo considera pedir una media talla más si eres de pie ancho, son pesados después de un rato de usarlos y las primeras veces ponerlo con calzador es inevitableProduct was too large, was a gift and did not fit properly, was out of the “return” period - when I contacted seller I did not receive a message back. Expensive lesson. The shoe looks great, and probably would have helped with back and leg pain.
