This is the best winter cycling jacket i have owned in 35 years of riding. Quality is consistent with the high retail price, but I got this cheaply as a returned item. Close scrutiny suggests it will wear very well. Small details like the large sturdy main zip pull and the 'laces' that extend zips on rear pockets are well thought out for use with gloves. Great having two smaller rear zip pockets as well as the larger open-top pocket.I've only used it for a month of daily rides, in temps down to 3C / 38F but if anything in those temps the issue is that it's too warm (at least for me, I do run hot). I tend to ride with a wicking T shirt under and no jersey. Usually I end up with the zip open. It blocks the wind very well. It wouldn't take much layering to use this in very cold conditions well below freezing. The fit is just as would be expected for a slim active build, and that physique is the main market for this product. I am 183 cm / 6' and 75kg / 165lbs and Large is a great fit. I just don't get it when people give one or 2 stars based on fit. Review the item, not the fit. Do your homework on sizing.Only the front upper part is wind resistant, it breathes very well. With a baselayer, a thermal jersey and a vest underneath, I could ride well under -12oC in an hour. With only a merino baselayer, I could ride > 2 hours in 0oC (32F). I am 165cm, 59kg and Small size fits perfectly.Solid jacket that keeps me warm when it is above 40°F. Not extremely comfortable when lounging, but reasonable price to pay for a warm ride.I like the style and quality of the jacket, but the sizing is off and the jacket is too small. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning, and Pearl Izumi is not set-up for exchanges. I have found similar issue with Pearl Izumi with cycling shoes and sizing. Sizing is not consistent
