Easy on, easy off. I love this tape, have used it for years. It's quite different from masking tape.I use it for holding drawing paper to a drawing board. Can not remove it without it tearing the paper.I am an artist. I use this tape to hold down my watercolor paintings while I am working on them. The important thing to know is that the paint doesn't seep under the tape so I can get a crisp edge around my painting. It is easy to lift off of the paper and doesn't pull the paper with it. Nice Quality! Many drafting tapes are too low-tack to stick to smooth work surfaces, (mine is glass); but this one holds well without damaging the paper upon removal. Always be careful when removing any tape from paper: The longer it's been in place, the higher the chance of damage and the more residue it will leave upon removal. This is the good stuff. Good stick and comes off cleanly. If left for months then the edges will leave a residue, but then the intent wasn't all that "temporary", was it?Ran out of my personal stock (never loan it out, it won't come back!) and this product is direct replacement for labeling containers and equipment.Literally the best art tape ever! Didn’t rip my paper when accidentally misplaced and replaced. Will be purchasing again!!!I use artists tape for framing and other crafts. This tape works well for my purposes, and is acid free.Think it would be hard to have wound on spindle???? Looks like a freakin coffee cup
