I purchased a set of horseshoes long ago. The quality is pretty much the same and as expected with any powder-coated steel horseshoe. What I do appreciate with this set, are the 23'' stakes. They're sturdy, as in most other horseshoe sets, however many sets sell they're kits with 20'' stakes.Some will say the horseshoe stakes must be left 15'' above ground, but 12'' is very acceptable in my opinion. Considering you choose 12'' above ground and also considering you bought 20'' stakes, that leaves you with 8'' of it in the ground... which will require you to constantly remove the stake and hammer it again into the ground to keep it straight, not to mention if you play with the 15'' above ground, believe me, it will never stay in place.
