Max gear is recommended for use in truck and automotive front or rear differentials, manual transmissions and lower gear units of marine engines that specify use of an api GL-5 or GL-4 fluid. It is non-corrosive to soft yellow metals (brass, bronze, copper, etc.) and synchronizer safe. Specially designed to extend gear and bearing life, max gear provides superior corrosion protection over competing conventional and synthetic gear oils.

This is our second gear oil change since we changed our gear ratio from 4:10 to 4:88 and Royal Purple has worked flawlessly to protect the new gear set. Of course we used conventional gear oil during the break in but then swapped to full synthetic. 75W90 is recommended in the front axle of JL Wranglers and 75w140 in the rear axle for towing....it's cheap insurance! The quality is more than just a nice bottle and Purple color it also ensures uniform lubrication to reduce gear wear and noise. Royal Purple is a great product we use again and again on all our rides ?
