Measure your item by its width, height, and depth because the plastic bag needs to fit all the way around it. Item width + item depth = bag width. Item height + item depth = bag height. Add an extra 1/2" to the bag width for the item to fit through the zipper opening.What is Mil? "Mil" is the plastic thickness. 2 Mil = .002", slightly thicker than the standard sandwich bag.Are the bags food safe? Yes! Because our reclosable bags are made from virgin LDPE (low density polyethylene), they meet FDA requirements for food contact and storage, and are BPA-Free.How to open and close? For your convenience, the bag's top lip is offset, making it easy to separate the sides and open the zipper track. Separate the two sides of the bag's top lip and use your thumbs to gently pull the zipper track apart. To close, pinch together one end of the zipper and slide your finger and thumb along the zipper. Remember to squeeze excess air out of the bag as you close the zipper.How to use the bags? I love these bags. They are a great quality, not too thick, not too thin. The zipper seal works great every time. They hold plenty, and are a very generous size. I was looking for a way to store skeins of yarn. I have quite a stash, and used up most packing away the yarn. Each bag holds four skeins and is a great way to keep the yarn free from dust. I sell handmade baby blankets, so they are also perfect for storing the blankets once they are made. I will definitely be buying these bags again.I use thieve bags to mail out crocheted items I make. It’s a great size for shells, baby blankets and projects of the same size. Pretty good quality for the price. This was my second time ordering and will reorder in the future. Delivery was timely.Generally fine, but you get what you pay for. Bags are thin, so sometimes the seams rip. Generally happens at the most inconvenient times.These bags rip on sides a lit and when I opened up the zipper seal to place items into the bag, the zipper wouldn’t zip all the way across and at times, the whole zipper was on one side of the bag. I had to throw away so many bags. The quality of these bags has really declined, but the price hasn’t changed, to reflect this.I'm not a long reviewer for any product I buy on Amazon, but I buy a lot on Amazon and I know how important these reviews are to sellers' reputations and their level of success. I could see using them for freezer bags - or for marinating food as well.I bought these to put soccer uniforms in when in my son's duffle bag so that they dont get dirty as he throws shoes, etc in. It holds 2 shirts and 2 shorts size large very well.I bought these bags to store yarn in once I've wind them into balls. They work out perfectly for what I need and I can fit quite a lot in them.
